Question about 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV AWD
My power running boards work intermentally. The dealership said I need to replace braket and motor for $2300.00 . However it doesn't make sense to replace the motor is the boards come-in-out on their own.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

You are better off Getting some Mechanic Wire and removing the 8 bolts holding the Front of the Running Boards and having it repaired or replaced. I would recommend not using the Running board on that side, you can do that by Climbing under and disconnecting the Plug to the Motor. I would also put a BAG over the 2 connectors and protect them. You can even put a dielectric to keep the Water Out.... Order the Bracket and install the new one at the same time... SAve you time and Effort.
