Check the battery connections first to be sure they don't move when twisted. Check the connection to the starter under the van on the bottom of the engine. Next step would be to have the starter checked. If A and B don't solve the prlblem you have a bad starter or a dead battery.

Could be a weak battery enough power for the lights but not enough to turn the engine. charge the battery and have it checked. also sometimes the wires that go to battery get loose. also check the wire that runs from the battery to the starter where it bolts on to starter remove it and clean with wire brush or sandpaper and reinstall u should do the same with the battery cables. hope this will get u going

Your solinoid switch on your starter may be not working. Could need replacing. Some starters have them built in and if that is the case starter may needs replacing.

I have a 2001 lhs and it wont start it just clicks ive had the starter tested its good what else could it be

One single click when you turn the key to start or a series of rapid clicks. If its rapid clicks the battery is dead.

2004 ion won't start. Lights work. When I turn key don't get series of clicks, get one snap.

That symptom usually means the solenoid on the starter is bad and no longer is completing the circuit to engage the starter. A new starter will likely solve that issue. A series of rapid clicks would indicate a week battery. You can try repeatedly turning the key to the start position rapidly, sometimes the starter wil start working. You can also try tapping the starter while somebody holds the key in the start position, if the starter engages place it.

Truck sometimes starts and sometimes wont. i hear a clicking soun

Unbolt and clean your battery terminals if dirty or corroded, preferably replace the bolts (good auto parts stores stock them, and they take some effort to remove and replace them but it's necessary to properly clean the terminals anyway) charge, jump or replace battery ... connect battery terminals and don't over tighten ... start the truck, check charging system gauges confirm charging voltage over 12V 13.8V-14.5V and lights should be bright as normal ... if so, you may be fixed ... if not you have charging system issues, that will be the next post if needed.
