2002 Chrysler Sebring sunroof won't close

spray crc55 or wd40 into the slides and work the switch until it begins to work, once functioning repeat with silicone spray

You will have to get a manual ,, and it will be a project, or
Otherwise call body shops in the area,, and find one who is willing to look at the problem for you,,,

There is usually a manual way to do it most likely located behind the panel where the sunroof button is. locate the owners manual if you need help finding it. It is in there

On my 2004 Sebring 4 dr sedan under the front of headliner is the motor for sun roof it has a slot for a metric allen wrench. You can manually crank sun roof closed. Last week I had to do this to my car.

Some sunroofs have a open switch like the drivers window. You push it and the window will open automaticly. The button on your sunroof could be jammed so even though you can close it as soon as you release it, it will auto open on it's own.

It can be faulty motor or loose wiring issue or faulty /weak sunroof controlling switch or there is some blockage for sunroof to come down to close or sunroof out of its track the headliner is out of its way.There re many possibilities.All this basics needs to be checked.For further troubleshooting,go through this help link:----

check the sunroof motor!!
that enable open and closed

according to the wiring diagram, power goes from circuit breaker 2 to the control module on a tan wire when the key is on. The close signal is a ground from the switch on the light blue wire. Do you get 12 vdc between the tan and light blue wires when you press close (key on)?
