Question about 2002 Toyota Tacoma
Truck shuts down because 20 amp fuse frequently blows , nwever had this problem til 1 week ago. truck has 134k miles , purchase new fuel filter could clogged filter cause pump to heat up and blow fuse?

i have had this same problem.. check the exhaust pipe near the middle of the truck.. the o2 sensor was hanging down and would blow the efi fuse when the exhaust got hot.. took me months to find it..lol

That fuse powers the engine computer and various sensors.
You may need a repair book or shop manual to get the wiring diagrams for checking everything in the circuit.

Correct pump for the truck?
A blown fuse means there is too much current draw from the pump.
Why is the tough question.Pinched wire?
If the fuse does not blow,immediately,can you measure the current draw at the pump in put wire?
Be SURE to cycle the key on for 5 seconds,off for 2 and back on for 5 seconds 3 times! Prime the pump.
If not primed,properly the new pump may burn out.
