Usually will not throw a code unless pressure drops, with that being said you would have to find out what code it is throwing for further diagnosis!!

My 1990 Chevy k1500 5.7L It will hesitate,spit,sputter even stall. I did a full tune up new spark plugs/wires, cap/rotor new VSS, fuel filter, put good gas in it, injector cleaner in it. Help

FUEL PRESSURE MUST BE IN THE 35-45 LB RANGE TO OPERATE PROPERLY. CHECK YOUR FUEL PRESSURE AND THEN FUEL QUANTITY BEING DELIVERED. YOU MAY HAVE A FAULTY FUEL PUMP WHICH IS VERY COMMON

2005 mustang my car started to misfire sputtering while giving gas and when coming to a stop rpm go down to 500 then back to 1000 but only sputters just once yesterday bad maf or fuel injectors

if you have an obd scanner check the codes.....could be as simple as a dirty fuel filter...also shows symptoms of a failing fuel pump (electric, mounted inside tank)....If you dont have access to an obd ll scanner, take it to n Auto Zone, Murrays, Napa, Firestone, or Goodyear, they will usually scan it for free........good luck.

What does "engine system faulty" warning light mean

If you want to debug the problem yourself, the first thing to do is to buy a engine OBD2 scanner. When the code show up, you may see what is the problem using the OBD scanner and your cell phone, with the proper app (like Torque for Android).

Remember to check if you are buying a bluetooth OBD2 scanner, and your phone have bluetooth as well.

One more thing, the OBD2 connector on the Peugeot 307 is right behind the ashtray, remove it to have access to the OBD2 connector.

The most probable cause is the fuel intake, may be the fuel, a filter or even the electric gas pump. Just a OBD2 scanner will tell you accurately the cause of the problem.

Best Regards

Engine turn over will not start

Some possibilities are:

Fuel contamination;
Faulty fuel pump;
Clogged fuel filter;
Faulty ignition module;
Faulty coils; or,
Faulty mass air flow sensor.

I would suggest that you borrow a OBD-II diagnostic scanner from a parts store, e.g., AutoZone, and pinpoint the problem since it could be any of the above components or a combination thereof.

Changed the fuel filter and the fuel pump, still only runs for about 10 minutes

REPLACE FUEL PUMP RELAY.CHECK WITH CODE SCANNER FOR ANY TROUBLE CODES.IF ALL IS GOOD YOU HAVE VACUUM LEAK.LEAKING PCV VALVE.YOU COULD HAVE BAD PLUGS AND WIRES.FAULTY COIL OR FAULTY IGNITION MODULE.BUT SCAN VECHICLE WITH CODE SCANNER.LOOK FOR CKP OR CMP SENSOR FAULTS.

I have a 1994 jeep grand cherokee and recently it has been sluggish on hills and has been getting poor fuel milage. i took off the muffler and checked that and the converter for blockage. not sure what to...

Did you check fuel pressure? If it is low,unplug regulator and look at it. Still low,change the filter. Now the pump may work but not give you volume. Pressure good,move on. Worn plugs,ignition etc. Vacuum leaks are a real no,no. Air filter,free from chip monks and mice, food? Now on to the TPS Sensor. Walk it down, but test every item before moving on and do not throw parts at it. OBD1 data isn't much ,so don't listen to all the scanner code fanatics. Now ,if you have acess to OBD 1 professional scanner,not a code reader,by all means look over the data.
