The e.g.r. is usually located just to the left of the distributer,sometimes mounted to the back of the block.its a diafram looking thing..thats your emission gas regulater.you can follow your vacume line off your distributer to the e.g.r...

behind your throttle body on top of your intake, Takes About A Half Hour To change It, Providing It Removes From The Manifold Without Any Trouble, If Its Hard To Unscrew Try Heating It Up With Oxygen acetlyne, Then Cool It Down, This Should Take Care Of The Problem. Im Not Sure What Causes It To Stop Working Probably Normal Wear, it Is Electrical Soo Probable Just Gives Out Like Some Eletronics Do

Driver's side of the engine, on top of the exhaust manifold there is a wire and connector going to it and a metal corrugated pipe from the intake. It is about 2 inches in diameter and about 2 inches tall.
