Sometimes your power steering pump operates your power brakes so be aware your brakes may not work properly. It will be VERY hard to steer so just drive it to be repaired ASAP.

It won't harm anything on a short drive. Remember that it will be much harder to turn the car especially in intersections so try to plan ahead. Hope this helps.

First my power steering went out, then my battery started going low and my engine overheated, all in a matter of minutes. What belt is it that I need to replace?

From the symptoms it sounds like one belt supplies the drive for all 3 units (power steering pump, alternator and water pump)
If you replace this belt (could be called power steering belt or alternator belt) then all should be fixed as long as engine did not overheat too much!
