P2138 = Throttle pedal position sensor fault
There is a bulletin from GM to inspect the Dash to Body electrical connector for possible corrosion. If any corrosion is found in this connection, it should be cleaned and the connector packed with dielectric grease. I would also inspect the connector at the throttle body, as this seems to be a common problem as well.

    1. Disconnect the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and get a resistance reading from pin 60 to pins 16 and 17, should be 1-3 ohms. 2. If the resistance is high, check the wiring from the TCM to the solenoid pack. If OK, replace the solenoid pack This is a code for the poertrain control module recieving an error from the transmission control module, you need to clear the p0700 code from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

    Check your connections. Dime to a doughnut hole you have corroded plug ends. Get some dielectric (Makes better connectioins and protects against future corrosion) grease

P2138 code for a 2004 dodge ram 5.7 liter

Were the APP codes there BEFORE they replaced the BCM? APP codes usually are an indicator the throttle body needs to be replaced. As a precaution, some recommend to replace the throttle body AND the sensor on the gas pedal together. Unfortunately, this is a dealer only repair most o the time, since the ECM will have to be flashed to sync the new sensors.

MY 04 CHEVY TRAILBLZER HAS CODES P0526 P0141 P2135 P2138

Four seemingly unrelated fault codes;
P0526 - fan speed error
P0141 - downstream O2 sensor lean condition
P2135 - Throttle position sensor fault
P2138 - Accelerator position fault

You need to have a qualified technician diagnose this with a highend scan tool, maybe there is a possibility that a reference voltage is off spec.

Code p2138

P2138 is Throttle Pedal Position Sensor/ Switch D / E Voltage Correlation. Replace the Throttle Pedal Position Sensor/Switch.Remember to have the set code Cleared from the cars computer, this will turn off the check engine light and reset it. Good Luck and have a good XMASS.
