A possibility...Check the charging system, particularly the output of the alternator. If the IC regulator inside the alternator is bad, it can allow charging "power surges". This will blow out the headlights. First chick the headlights to see if it is the 'low beam' setting is blown out simply by turning on the 'hi beams'. If they work, it is a good chance that the alternator is sending charging power surges, knocking out the headlights in 'low-beam' mode. That is because most of the time the headlights are on low beam when driving. This is especially so if both burned out at the same time and this has happened before. Another possibility is: if these are the halogen inserts that install thru the backside of the headlight assembly. it is "crucial" that you do NOT touch the bulb part (front) of the glass. The oils from a persons skin on their fingers is enough to cause an early failure. This is very common so don't feel bad if it happened to you. Good Luck

Which fuse should i change for my headlights ?

Look at your fuse panel board either under the dash board on drivers side or possibly under the hood depending on vehicle. It will tell u which fuse is for the headlights.

Or from the sounds of it... Possible head light bulb burnt out and not a fuse. A headlight fuse should not be popping or burning out. I would suggest looking at the filament on the bulb to see if intact. Replace broken head light bulb with working other working headlight to eliminate one possibility. If it works buy a new bulb. If it doesn't look at fuse panel.

High beam headlights stuck on replaced switch same problem

It can be issue with headlight switch, but as its already been replaced.Try disconnecting high beam headlight wiring from headlight assembly and reconnect direct external wire from headlight switch to headlight assembly, then by switch see if headlight is getting off and turning on or not.

2005 impala lowbeams do not work at all. high beams, turn signals, and taillights are fine. i cut the negative and grounded it on the car and now the headlights are on but will not shut off unless i take...

ok put the ground back were you cut it and remove bezel near head light switch test powers in and out with 12 volt test light on low beam and high beam you may just have a bad head light switch make sure you have headlight power coming out of the swicth for low beams.

My 87 k5 blazer headlights don't turn on when the car is started and running any more... all 4 headlights turn on fine when I pull the lever all the way out for high beams

The vehicle should not have to be running for head lights to burn.If high beams work, then the low beam head lights could be burned out, even though they light up with high beams. The dimmer switch, can be the problem if the head lights only work on high beam.

Head lighte only ON when pull up on High/Low lever

coulod be a bad headlight fuse or relay. it is also possible that your regular headlight filaments are burned out, but the high beams are still good, but it would be unlikely for them both to burn at the same time.
