Question about 1998 Toyota 4Runner
I unlocked my the front door to the 4runner, from the outside, then opened the back door to get something out. Then I got in the car and wanted to use the central lock and it felt stiff and it didn't lock any of the doors. Then I tried to roll down the windows (electrically) and none worked...this is the first time it had ever happened. Now I cant roll down the windows and need to lock and unlock any of the doors manually..

Sounds as if you have a bad switch (you say it felt funny) and these get so much use they do fail. Salvage yard may have this, or check with a parts store. Dealer will be expensive.

SOURCE: door locks
Regarding the rear door child locks: There is a small lever on the latch side of the door, you can only see it with the door open. Move it to the other position.
Regarding the front door locks: You either have a bad door lock switch, or the power lock solenoids are beginning to fail. To check this, you will need to pull the door panels off, & measure the actual voltage at the solenoids whilst manipulating the lock switch. If you have 12 + VDC, I would suggest replacing the door lock solenoids. Not hard to change, but it IS time consuming. Best left to a dealer. Expect to pay 1 hour per side to change each solenoid.

Have 2005 Sienna and its Driver side door was not openning. Cheap dealer fixed it himself in front of me. After opening the doors plastic assembly while sitting inside with a screw driver. Then he bent the clip towards left where the metal wire is connected. If you guys want to see what he did i would record a video and upload for you guys. Let me know at email@example.com

probably gonna have to take the door panel off. You say it wont unlock or lock with the key? if thats the case its probably broke inside the door.

You will need to replace the driver door switch. You can try to pick a switch up from the dealer or a local car wrecker (i.e. Pick-n-Pull). It will involve learning to take apart the door trim panel.
