You dont.
its very simple.
phone a key guy and get it done properly.
most pro garages will still get a key guy to sort their key programming jobs.

Car key reprogramming for 1994 oldsmobile royale 88. My car will start than it will shut right back off or it will not start all.

Your 1994 used the VATS antitheft system. This key is NOT reprogrammable. You can try to reset the TDM using the ten minute trick, this may work for you. As far as the key goes, you need a new key with a new chip. Remember too that it can also be a part in the ignition that may be failing.

Here is a good link on the security antitheft system.

Ignition lock damaged. Does the replacement need reprogramming as I understand that the key resistance sends a specific voltage to instrument panel cluster to allow engine power control module to sustain...

Tumbler is mechanical only and rotates electrical portion of ignition. Basically, a lock on an electrical switch. Key sends signal through an implanted chip to allow start circuit to work.I'm thinking replacing the cylinder lock and having rekeyed to original key should fix the problem. Most locksmiths can do this and can run $140 or so with even a new programmed key.

Auto locks don't work.

Instead of pulling a fuse which will definately trip off another time, why not take it for reprogramming?

I recommend you get an expert in security locks to reprogramme the locks for your car.
