Hi Rosielynn , I want to help you with your problem, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Like, does this happen after it has been running or only during startup? If while running, how long before it shreds? How many times has this happened? Did you correctly install it? More detail = better chance at good answers.

SOURCE: Block heater for 98 dodge neon

Well the block heater itself is usually way under the engine where you can't see it, so I'm thinking you want the plug & cord that makes it work so you can plug it in. My 95 neon had it coiled up laying near the top of the fender under the hood on drivers side, if i remember correctly. It had a black cap over the plug which made it hard to find sometimes, even though I thought I knew where it was. Sometimes it would fall down behind or beside the engine controller.(gray looking computer box) I was always looking for a shiny plug-in type end but it was covered with a hard to see black little cap over it. I used a flashlight, and went along the top of the fenders until I spotted what looked similar to a black extension cord, then followed it to the end, and that's how I found it most times. Try going along drivers side top of fender first, then passenger fender, and then along the front, and maybe even attached in behind grille at front of car sometimes.

SOURCE: my 03 dodge neon has jumped time. What do I need

Most mechanics would pull the spark plugs and check the compression in the cylinders, but usually anyone with a trained ear can tell by the sound of the starter when cranking against the compression of each cylinder. Many of the smaller engines today have valving designed so that when they are out of time, the pistons interfere with them. That means two objects try to take up the same space at the same time and at minimum the valves bend. Worse case scenario would be upper head/camshaft damage and possible piston damage. That's pretty severe. You won't know until you get the valve cover off or maybe deeper. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: what size socket do I need to change the oil and brakes.

The oil drain plug is a 13 mm. The tools for the brakes, a 10 mm socket for the caliper pins, a flat head screwdriver, or a meduim size prybat to get the calipers out of the mounting bracket, and a 4" C-clamp to compress the pistons into the calipers so you can put the new pads on.

SOURCE: bad oil leak 98 dodge neon it looks like from

There is an opening on the top of your timing cover sealed off with a rubber plug. Remove the plug to gain sightful access to inside your timing. But first I suggest you clean your engine first ot all grease and build up caused by your leak. In diong so, you will have a clearer idea of where the leak is actually coming from. I just rebuilt a 2000 neon, so if you need some info on anything , I have your info.

I have a 98 4x4 dodge Durango it's a 5.2 litter I recently had to replace the serpentine belt now it keeps shredding the serpentine belt what is the problem please help

most likely the idler pulleys ,any chirping or squally noise take the belt off and spin all the pulleys to check for seized components. Also double check routing for protruding bolts or bracket that might rub the belt

Keeps shredding belts

Usually the problem is a pulley that is dragging or out of alignment.
The dragging pulley could be an alternator or ac compressor that is failing at random times. Or other accessories.

Im wondering when i should change my timing belt and pulley i have a 1998 neon r/t dohc with 94k?

You need to inspect it for "wear" and see how it looks!
I heard between 100-120k and my 98 Breeze has 112k
and showing some wear. Also should change the water
pump too at that time too!

Belt and hyd tensioner removed on 98 neon... how

you will need a haynes or chilton manual (try library before the book store) the various pullys have to be in alignment with pointers stamped or cast in metal and vary between engines

My fuel pump fuse keeps popping and we just changed the fuel pumpand it still pops it what could that be {98 dodge neon)

Check your power wire to the pump. It must have a bare spot somewhere, and is grounding out. Probably on top of the gas tank.
