No power going into my 1988 Winnebago LeSharo.

No power anywhere, no lights, nothing? Check the battery polarity, Red to plus +, black to minus -

Relays normally fit into a socket, so you can't get that wrong.

The starter has a big red wire and a small red wire. Difficult to mix those up.

Did you disconnect the battery? Does it have an alarm and immobilizer?

I have a 2001 winnebago on a workhorse chasis. with 4L80-e transmission that dont lock when put into park

There is a fuse for the auto park that you need to check and also make sure that the reservoir under the winnebago isn"t leaking. There is a green switch under the motor home on the hydraulic unit for the brake that goes bad quit often.

Fitting a new fanbelt- how do you de-tension the tensoner?

You'll need a socket and rachet or wrench to put on the bolt on the pulley tensioner, usually a 14mm or 15mm bolt, then lift up or push down to relieve the tension from the tensioner on the belt.
