Question about 1998 Chrysler Cirrus
thank you for using fixya.
There are 2 possible types of issues from my standpoint.
1. If you are on a M/T, your clutch may need reworks as the tranny is slipping that is why it is stalling; you may have this resolved by having the clutch re-lined or the plates replaced. there is also a possible problem with the fuel / air mixture in high rev and a tune is best for this kind of problem.
2. if you are on an A/T, you may want to check on the transmission solenoid and the gear selector because if these parts are at fault, what will happen is that the wieght balance to the the next gear will fail and this will stall the car on medium to high rev.
hope this helps.
