HI, what your are experiencing is a Battery drain issue.

There are one or more devices that are not shutting down during the downtime of the vehicle. this will cause the battery to drain overnight. You will need to isolate this drain and fix it asap if possible.

Here is the procedure I use to isolate a battery drain. Remove negative battery cable from the battery. Using a 12-volt test light, hook one end to the negative battery post the other end to the negative battery cable you just disconnected. The test light will glow or "light" if there is a drain. If the "light or glow" is faint, that is probably normal draw for the clock or computer. If the "light or glow" is bright, then there is a large drain. That should be corrected. Now start removing and replacing the fuses one by one until the light goes out; that one will be the circuit with the drain. Remember to hold in the button in the door jam for the interior lights. Now about the "miss" in the engine. We would suggest doing a cylinder leak down test, also check for a "flat" cam. If the problem still exists, scan the PCM (computer) for trouble codes.

First, an alternator will never charge a battery...it is designed to maintain the state of charge, not charge. You need to have the battery charged and load tested to verify its condition, then if you still have a problem, you can look for an electrical drain by pulling fuses and checking to see what system is causing the problem, then tracing through the system till you find the single item that is faulty.

Do you mean that the altenator is working fine? Test it with a voltmeter to confirm and if good then check you battery, might need replacing.By the way how old is the vehicle as older models had a charge controller which had to be adjusted manually.Hope this helps.

2004 sebring won't start at all

sounds like you might have lost the altanator. Check the battary to see if it is very low, if so it was running of the battery and not the altanator. try charging the battery and see if it will run. If it does, checkthe voltage on the battery. it should be above 13 volts when runnig. If not it is the altanator.

I see on here where u have answered questions about ppl trying to start their durango and just get a clocking noise. Ok so here goes....my car for a while because my battery was almost dead and then dies...

If you have a new battery and it keeps going dead, then either you have a bad battery or the alternator is not charging properly. Altenator not charging could be either a bad alternator, loose belt, or bad wiring coming from alternator.

I get no response when I turn the key in the ignition switch. If I turn the key in the switch there is nothing

two things would cause this a totally dead battery. or a loss of the ground. headlights are grounded to the body and run directly off of the battery. since your lights dont work this would point to a dead battery.to find out if the battery is bad or if it was caused by the charging system not working. try jumping the car if you can get it started here are a couple of simple ways to check the charging. one with the car running remove the possitive cable from the battery if the car dies the altanator is not charging replace it. if the car stays running the battery most likely has dead cells and wont hold the charge. the other way is to take a bolt or small ferous metal object and on the back of the altanator there is a round cap in the center of the case if the piece of metal your using will stick to that cap then the altanator is producing a charge and the battery is the problem. if no magnetic field is present then the alternator is bad and needs replaced

Battery want charge

Skipping clarification process

Not knowing for sure if the battery is completely dead after shutting down. And my guess is that the battery is not actually dead if all the electronics and lights stay working.

Im not sure is the batteries are new and what loads they have (cranking amps and such.

Check your ground cable for the battery
from battery (make sure good contact) to frame, block where ever it may go check for good contact and tightness there as well make sure there are no cuts or breaks on the cable.

reason Suspect a weak ground is because when you are jumping or getting a boost from another vehicle you are slaving off off there system ground as well as your own.

Your system needs a much better ground for starting your engine do to the cranking amps required compared to running lights and stereo ect.

Jump start the car and start it only for it to die a few minutes later. could this be the altanator or batery?

It is the alterntor, if the charging system was ok the engine would continue to run. Make sure the battery is fully charged (engine cranks fast) before you replace the alternator or you could burn out the new alternator from overheating.

1999 Chevy Venture Van - AC not cooling, recharged and it worked for a couple of days but quit again, we figure it was a leak. The fan switch also does not work on speed 1 but will work on other speeds. ...

,, check your output voltage at the back of the alternator or a easy way is strat the car and disconnect one of the battary termianls and see if the car is still running,, if not your alternator might be bad ,, local auto zones will check it for free if u take it out ,, but don't untill u have check other things,, fan switch has a resistor in the heater core box ,, one elment might be bad in it ,, make sure the alternator is charging the battary try what i said unplug it while the car is runnging the battary terminal one of them .. don;'t do this for to long , you can blow the diodes in the alternator ,, so jsut check and if it runs then shut it off ,, its not your alt if it keeps running after u disconnect the terminal
