You may may need to replace the pigtail plug going to the resistor.They have a tendency of melting a few of the terminals but if you are having repeated resistor failures the blower motor may need replaced as it may be drawing too much amperage causing your resistors to fail.Unplug both the resistor and blower to inspect the plugs for any damaged/melted wiring terminals. Replace as necessary.

Easy enough to check, just bring direct power and ground from the battery to the two terminals of the fan motor, if the motor still won't work, it is cooked.
