I have a 2009 g envoy and when I turn my key it wont do anything.replaced the ignition switch and it has worked fine for about 5 months and now it is doing the same thing sometimes it will start right

On GM vehicles starting back in mid 2000's , maybe even before that. They started using inputs to the body control module from the ignition switch, from there the BCM controls all vehicle systems .
Power Mode Description and Operation
Serial Data Power Mode
On vehicles that have several control modules connected by serial data circuits, one module is the power mode master (PMM). On this vehicle the PMM is the body control module (BCM). The BCM uses 3 signals from the ignition switch. These are the Ignition 0, Ignition 1, and Accessory.
To determine the correct power mode the BCM uses:
?€¢
The state of these signals

?€¢
The sequence of switch closures received by the BCM

?€¢
The status of the engine run flag

The chart indicates the power modes detected and transmitted by the BCM:

Fail-safe Operation
Since the operation of the vehicle systems depends on the power mode, there is a fail-safe plan in place should the body control module (BCM) fail to send a power mode message. The fail-safe plan covers modules with discrete ignition signal inputs as well as those modules using exclusively serial data control of power mode.
Serial Data Messages The modules that depend exclusively on serial data messages for power modes stay in the state dictated by the last valid BCM message until they receive the engine status from the powertrain control module (PCM). If the BCM fails, the modules monitor the serial data circuit for the engine run flag serial data. If the engine run flag serial data is true, indicating that the engine is running, the modules fail-safe to Run. In this state the modules and their subsystems can support all operator requirements. If the engine run flag serial data is false, indicating that the engine is not running, the modules fail-safe to OFF-AWAKE. In this state the modules are constantly checking for a change status message on the serial data circuits and can respond to both local inputs and serial data inputs from other modules on the vehicle.
Discrete Ignition Signals Those modules that have discrete ignition signal inputs also remain in the state dictated by the last valid BCM message received on the serial data circuits. They then check the state of their discrete ignition input to determine the current valid state. If the discrete ignition input is active, B+, the modules will fail-safe to the RUN power mode. If the discrete ignition input is not active, open or 0 voltage, the modules will fail-safe to OFF-AWAKE. In this state the modules are constantly checking for a change status message on the serial data circuits and can respond to both local inputs and serial data inputs from other modules on the vehicle.
You would need a scan tool that can read data from the BCM . What may be the problem is a lose connector , these pin's at connectors are tiny and doesn't take much for one to become lose.

Dodge ram van wont start

Check fuel pump, and fuel pump relay. Alot of newer vehichles have a fail-safe mode that wont let ignition spark, if no fuel pressure is present, or vice versa.

Abs light on

The ABS warning stays on because the warning system has detected a fault with the anti-lock braking system fitted to the car. The car is still safe to drive but the ABS may not be operating if the warning has appeared and remains on.

The most likely cause is one or more failed wheel speed sensors (especially on older vehicles like yours). As a first step the sensors need to be checked and the failed units replaced.

S40 will not run. Over 5 MPH after recranking, is this a bad crankshaft. Sensor

Won't run over 5 MPH after STARTING ?

( Cranking is the starter turning the motor over )

Is there a check light on the dash?

Is it in Fail Safe & a light on dash,if so I would
be looking into failed ignition coils

If it starts & runs at all,not likely the CPS you asked about

Have you had it checked for codes ?
Do that & correct code related issues first.

Fail safe mode

ETC Fail Safe or Temp Fail Safe

ETC-- you spray the throttle plate, then
check for really bad COP Ignition Coils

2005 Explorer changed EGR valve due to code and now fail safe mode is in and wrench light is on. Vehicle starts but throttle does not work.

Most likely the ETC Fail Safe (Electronic Throttle Control)
Various Codes for the Throttle Body will be present

Before you replace the Throttle Body because of a failed
TACM (Throttle Actuator Control Motor) Spray the throttle
inlet and plate with CRC Throttle Body Cleaner

The Failsafe can also occur from a really bad COP Ignition
Coil spiking the PCM (computer) and coming back on both
sides of the TPS Sensor. You then loose throttle plate
position and thus shut down or go only 6 mph

Engine shuts donw and "Fail Safe" message is displayed.

first thing you should do is have it plugged into a scanner to see what the problem is.places like auto zone and advance auto parts do it for free. then if it is the throttle position sensor its located on top of the engine not hard to do.but if its one of the four oxygen located on the exhaust sensors depends which one it is but usually requires special socket to remove them without stripping them, very hard.

Fail safe mode and rear lights message on at times

Usually Fail safe comes on when there is a problem with the sensors of the throttle and gas pedal have reporting problem to ECU. You need to have the car diagnosed to see the error codes and check which sensor has the problem. there are three sensors that do the job of reporting to ECU. Could be the throttle or Gas pedal
