If you are talking a high pressure washer check the pressure regulator for blockage . Check the jet at the end of the wand is not partially blocked

SOURCE: Oil Pressure Low Warning

Look low oil pressure is nothing to ignore, serious engine damage will result, have the dealer test the oil press with a special oil press tester, if that checks ok then you most likely have a defective oil pressure sensor.

SOURCE: oil pressure low when idling. When running engine

That is normal, my truck , if it had a light , it would be on, the gauge goes to about 0 when idling and flies right back up when going, When it stops moving is when I'll get worried about it. You might try heavier oil this summer and see if that changes anything. Go with a 10w40. If you are already using this, try straight 40 one time. Hope this helps.

No oil or oil pressure , also check all belt driven components like alternator or a/c compressor or power steering pump and water pump one of listed items could seize and cause your engine not to turn over aka crank , not much info given on make and model of vehicle

I have 1988 Honda Shadow motorcycle vt600c balls out at high RPM's and sputters when revving engine in neutral loses power at 45 mph when I take air filter off loses power at 65 mph could this be fuel...

This sounds like a flooding carb due to a broken float, or it could be a faulty fuel pump, or a blocked fuel line, Start from where the fuel leaves the tank up to the carburettor checking the fuel hose for leaks(maybe also sucking air on pumping. Or could also be dirt in the jets thats why it goes faster when you remove the air filter. The spitting of fuel is because the motor is turning eratically thus slowing down the pumping or sucking (it's relative to the amount of revolutions the motor is turning) This should be an easy one.

Hi. This issue has several causes, but the oil light indicator is a strong sign of low pressure in the engine. This will cause the engine lubrication rate to drop, thus, producing a illuminated oil light, and erratic Oil pressure readings. The necessary actions are to have a manual oil pressure test ran on this engine, asap. When running a manual oil pressure test, you will discover if the true oil pressure is low, or normal. If the test proves that the oil pressure is, indeed, low, this will confirm that the Oil pump is suspect.

Now, if the true readings given during the manual oil pressure test are indicating that the pressure is normal, this will be the result of a failed sending unit(oil pressure switch). Although the oil pressure is suspect, this is not your only issue here. There seems to be a abnormal compression rate, present. This is causing the rough idle, and erratic RPMs. I recommend to administer a engine block compression test, as well. This test will discover if , indeed, there are issues within the cylinder heads, and block structure, such as a worn head gasket, cylinder wall issues, and cracked block. Normally, these issue will send signs, like white, or gray smoke out the tail pipe, or discolored oil. It will, also, promote erratic RPM ratings, and a rough idle. Have the oil pressure test, and engine block compression test ran, asap.

Once the test are administered, you will be able to isolate the actual problem areas, more accurately. Check the spark plug wire sets, and ignition assembly for faults, also.

your fuel pump could be getting hot and loosing pressure the way to find out if this is wrong is take it to a garage and have them to take a pressure test of the fuel pump, this might be your problem, you could have also got some bad gas, take and run you a bottle of stp gas treatment to see if it helps one of these most definitely your problem.hope this helps

Sounds like an overheating problem or lubrication problem. If after it dies you can let it sit for a period to cool down it is most likely a cooling issue. Try removing the Thermostat and see if that seems to help. The thermostat may not be the problem as it could be the water pump not circulating radiator fluid. The reason it takes longer with AC off than with it on is because the strain on the motor is greater with the AC in the On position. Since you didn't mention an overheating issue it is probably a combination of a bad sensor and either faulty Thermostat or faulty water pump. Your also going to want to do a compression check on all cylinders to see if your running high compression on 2 or more indicating a crack in the cylinder wall or a blown head gasket. Lastly there is the oil pump, if that is not circulating oil correctly you will have a lubrication issue that will give you this symptom. If you haven't done so of late do and oil and filter change using gunk engine cleaner additive. This is added to the oil then the engine is run for 5 minutes, then drained. You have to change the oil filter when you use this as running the vehicle with this in the engine will damage the seals.

Hello even know the fuel pump works, it may have low pressure. these pumps are high pressure pumps. here is the fuel pressure spec

Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.

Check engine light on; oil gauge is low-none when idling.

can be a numerous issue with service engine light, the best way to narrow it down is stop by auto zone and plug it to the computer and see what code it spit out, this is the best avenue instead guessing and replacing parts what does not need replacing, can get very expensive. this way it will help narrow down the problems. oil gauge is low, making sure you have proper amount of oil in the car with recommended weight, next, go ahead replace oil pressure switch, can be faulty/ fairly cheap to replace. if the switch is good you may have problems with the oil pump, worn-ed pump which not pumping enough pressure, this can lead to engine catastrophe; pump will need replacing.

if you see the water leaking form the front side of the engine usually from the water pump since the pump is not running you also wont get heat, bit when you pressurise the sys you are forcing the hot water into the core and you have heat, it is the water pump.
