Hi Just had the oil sensor replaced on my 2.0 Golf TDI Sport as warning light showing OIL SENSOR GARAGE. Warning light still showing please help.

You have to find the source f the problem as to why it went off in the first place. Oil sensor garage is part of a service interval that you should be getting. if you have gotten your service already check the oil level in your car if its to low it will stay on. If you hundred percent sure the oil level is correct by checking your dipstick then try resetting it by going to your fuse box and taking out fuses nr 11 and 15 leave it out for a minute at least then put them back. if it still shows on it could be the sensor inside the sump that needs to be replaced

How to change an oil sensor Peugeot 307 sw

Hi, you can get this sensor in any car parts shop, if they don't have one they can order, it will be a bit cheaper than dealer. Depending on engine type and size the sensor is situated in different places. With a bit more information from Auto Data or Google you should be able to identify where. Changing is easy and does not require garage.

My 2008 Chevy impala dash says low oil pressure what does that mean?

Several things: 1. Faulty oil pressure sensor (replace it (cheap)) 2.. insufficient oil (check it (cheap)) 3. blocked oil filter or oil journals (replace it and change oil) 4. oil pump failing (garage job) 5. badly worn engine bearings (garage job - usually expensive.)

Whatever it is, you should check it NOW. If you wait very long, the engine will fail.

How to reset oil level indicator for Audi A4 2.0 TDi 143 SE

sensor fail is common fault. can be a build up of dirty oil blocking the sensor. should of just kept the the old type that just tells the ecu there is oil. you may be lucky and it could be the sensor plug at fault check that first.

Knocking noise

Mechanical wear on engine, incorrect valve timing, lack of oil.
Knock sensors are detecting engine knocking so sensors not at fault. Ignore fault codes and deal with the noise.

Engine oil sensor light is on. How do I replace it?

It is on because a sensor is sending the "turn on" signal. I would put money in a new oil pressure sending units or consider an oil pressure check at a garage before thinking you have a bad light.

When switching on ignition buzzer goes off, oil sensor ,garage flashes on,oil full .where is sensor ?

The gauge should be on when the key is on and the engine is not running.

The gauge is lit by a sensor which detects oil pressure. If your engine is not running, there is no oil pressure, so the circuit closes and the light comes on.

My 1999 VW Polo oil pressure warning light and buzzer comes on regularly after driving for approx 8 miles - oil level & pressure both appear to be ok and water level too. Both sensors replaced and new...

The oil pump is relatively easy to change with the engine in situ if it is (commonly) at fault,
Get an oil pressure gauge with a pipe and brass fitting ready on, (borrow or buy cheap from boy racer shop), unscrew the sensor (or ask the garage to for a £5) and plug it directly into the sensor hole after you've been for a run.. When warm, mine sits about 40 at motorway speeds, ten at tickover.

it happens when you don't check out the garage you take it to. But it sounds like it is the shops responsibility. and the dealers. if your oil light never came on it could also mean a bad sensor.

I also have a 2004 Audi A4 3.0 Quatro and the low oil sensor comes on periodically. I pull the oil dip stick and put it back and it goes away. Maybe it will work itself out.
