Changed oil in my ford f350 year 1997 and now there is no oil pressure and knocking noise

I have a 1997 Ford F350 I recently changed the oil and now there is no oil pressure and a knocking noise which made me believe that it's the oil filter but the oil pan is near impossible I have to take the oil pan out to get to the oil filter. I'm wondering if it could be anything else or if anyone knows an easier way to take the oil pan out.

Changed the oil, there was no pressure, changed the oil filter, there was pressure for about an hour then lost the pressure again.

yeah it's not even worth it to remove everything just to place a $60 part in. It's really frustrating

Thing is, it worked just fine until the oil was changed. That's when these issues started.

Has there been zero oil pressure ever since you changed the oil?
Did you do it with motor warm? If so you lost the prime in your oil pump.Over fill the oil, couple quarts. start the engine,If you got oil pressure shut of engine and drain two quarts!

Is the check engine light on ?
If not, look at the fuel pressure regulator and see if the engine is warming up to normal temp.

I have a 2005 Ford F350 6.0 Diesel and It wont start after the motor gets warm. It also starts rough when cold. When it is running it runs great. Any help would be appreciated.

I had this same issue and luckily my F350 2006 was still under warranty. Basically there is a high pressure oil system that has a tendency to leak internally. You won't see any oil leak. When cold the oil has enough viscosity to keep the pressure sensor from not allowing the engine to start. When the engine is warm the system doesn't reach required pressure to allow the engine to start. In short it's a Ford dealer repair. Good luck.

You have a bad Injector O-ring. It is letting high pressure oil over power the diesel fuel pressure.

O-ring kits are available for $7 for each injector.
