SOURCE: when apply brake car not stoping (cadillac 2001 STS car )

you need to bleed all four corners and when doing so use a hose from the bleeder valve into a clear jar half full of brake fluid. Keep The Hose Under The Level Or Air Will Get Back Into The System.
When Bleeding Close The Valve And Have Someone Push The Brake Pedal 1,2,3 Hold Then While The Person Is Still Holding The Brake Slightly Open The Valve Then Keep Doing It Until You Don't Even Get A Bubble. Do This On All 4 Wheels And You'll Be Good To Go.
The More Air That Comes Out The Harder The Pedal Will Get. Make Sure To Keep Filling The Reservoir Cause If It Empty's You'll Have To Start All Over.

Sincerely,
Michael Scott

Change front pads on ford focus 2009 model

The 2009 Ford Focus seems difficult to install the non-caliper side brake disk due to integral springs on the pad steel backing. Looks like the outer cage of the brake, the part that straddles the rotor, needs to be removed for pad installation, then reassembled onto the caliper system with brake pads installed. Haven't attepmted this yet, but it appears to be the only alternative given geometric constraints. This is a lot more difficult than other front disk brake systems where the pads virtually slip right into place.

Ford focus 2001 my front wheel studs has two broken studs, what or how i do it to replace them ? how can i take them out? thanks

Make sure you fix them . This could make other break easyly and come off, To fix the easyest wat you need a ez-out and a reversable drill, Go slow and it will come rt. out. Have to remove the axle to get to it. If on front. if on back can do easyer. A tire shop might charge you $10 to replace if you go get the studs. Good luck.

New brake rear discs and pads on a ford mondeo 03 but can not get the caliper pisten to go back enough to fit pads

Loosen the brake fluid reservoir cap to allow pressure to escape. Use a large C clamp connecting it to the front of the piston and back of the housing. Turn the screw on the clamp to compress the brake piston then release the clamp. The piston will remain compressed allowing you the fit the housing over the new brake pads.

2001 Focus zx3 rear brakes- pads or drums???

If they look like a smaller version of your front brakes where you can see the disc (should be shiny on the side of the disc where the pad touches the rotor) then you have disk brakes.

If it's all black, or all kinda of rusted looking and all you see is a "cap" over everything behind the rim, then it'll be a drum...

95% of the zx3's have drums
only 5% of zx3's had discs. The ones that have disc brakes, also came with traction control as part of the package.

Sounds like the pads are worn out and are grinding on the rotors. You will likely have to replace the pads and rotors.
