I put the wrong type of spark plugs into a eclipse and the wrong type of gas into the car and rebbed it up it shut down and does not crank anymore. It's a 1998 turbo misutibsi eclipse

What was the difference in the spark plug, long reach, or hotter?

What was the 'wrong gas', not nitro-methane or methanol I hope?

You can try removing the spark plugs and try turning the engine by hand. If manual, put car in second gear and push backwards. If the engine turns, check for compression. If automatic, put a socket on the crankshaft pulley and turn it.

Deei just changed my head gaskets on my v-6 eclipse. now i have a oil leak and i have smoking. is it because of a bad seal, on my head gasket

could be, the first thing i would do is get the cyclinder head bolts torqued to right setting.Provided the cyclinder head is not warped ie the engine did not overheat before gasket was replaced? All heads have to be rechecked/retorqued after about 1000mls anyway, adrian,,,,,,,,,,,,

PUT IN A NEW CYLINDER BLOCK NEED TO TIME IT NOW

This is a complex job. You could try and get the Hanyes manual. Because, if you make a bad adjustment, the engine is totalled!

In the meantime, you put in a new timing-belt, water-pump, and torque the head. The Crank-pulley and the cam-sproket must be lined up in proper positions. That's why you need a good manual.

How do you set the timing on a 420a 2.0 eclipse motor??

if you go to autozone.com you will gain access to the free manuals online for your vehicle. here you can get step by step instructions and cautions, in addition to torque specs for the head gasket. you will need to register and provide info about your car, it is FREE!!! Good Luck!

Replaced head on a 93 starwagon

ok is this an eclipse? and is it a 2.0? and if so then this is very common and i do not recommend doing it urself but if u must be a do it yourself type person then be careful there alot of ways to mess this up and if u do it worng u could have pre-detonation knock or even bend and break valves or break piston headsand if ur head was resurfaced then it could have been shaved down to far and it will never line up properly but i would put all pistons hlaf stroke high and line up the camshafts then very carfully align the crank thats the easiest way to set the timing on an eclipse
