Question about Suzuki Swift
I own a Suzuki Swift 07 model. The other day my car battery went flat, i had it jump started and then later that night i noticed a problem with my speakers that everytime i'd excelerate the volume of the song/radio would rise and as soon i'd change gear the volume would decrease. I have since noticed that when i start the car the eps light stays on for a couple of seconds as well as the abs light (i think) and sometimes when i take of from 1st gear or go around a corner a bit fast my hand brake light comes on for a few seconds but the handbrake isnt loose? can anyone help do you think i may need a new battery?
When you jump started it might damage the ECU unit.Better take it to electrician and check you ECU or Alternater .

Check your alternator as it sounds like it may be starting to go. The battery light trips when it detects an issue with the charging system. Very rarely, the battery light can trip if there's an issue with the PCM, but this is very rare.
Take a voltmeter with the car off and measure the voltage on the leads of the batter, should be around 12V+-.2. With the car running, measure again and this time it should read 13V-14V. If it does read 13V-14V then it means that the alternator is working. If it is below 12V, then it means your alternator is not charging the battery properly. If it's above 14V, then it means your alternator is overcharging and damaging the battery.

You have to check the alternator's output while there is a load placed on it. Take it to a auto parts store the have it load tested. You may be able to determine if there is a problem by starting the car and turning on all of your accessories. Removing the battery cables not allowing them to touch the vehicle, if the alternator output is where it should be, the car should remain running. If thats fine, havbe the battery load tested to be sure its accepting the charge it being given by the alternator.

By putting cables the wrong way roundmyou most probably damaged the Alternator.
Check your central locking relay, must be fried.
