Question about 1999 Jeep Cherokee
Possibly you really had a problem with the alternator. It was not charging the battery, when you replaced the battery with a new freshly charged one all was well for a few days till the new battery lost its charge a well.
First have the alternator checked, it should have al least 13.5 volts when the engine is running. Do not replace it unless it tests bad!
