Sounds like a job for the company that installed the remote starter. As we all know there is only 1 company that makes remote car starters, but i do not remember what it is and you aint giving up the information. Try the installer of the remote. They can see it and answer you.

How do I reset the remote engine start on a 2009 Malibu?

I'm not sure what you mean when you say "reset" the remote engine start. Also, I am assuming that we are talking about original equipment manufacturer (OEM) installed remote start - not some aftermarket add-on.

Do you mean that the engine start has timed out and now will not start again remotely? If this is the case, this is NORMAL OPERATION and the system will reset on it's own but you must turn the ignition switch on. You cannot reset it remotely.

If you are refering to something other than this, you need to provide more detail of what the problem is that you are wanting to fix.

There is no reset, If it won't start then there is an issue either with one of the inputs or wiring.
