2013 Chrysler T&C When I accelerate to pass a vehicle the engine light comes on and then van gets sluggish and accelerates very slowly.

When the check engine light comes on the engine control module stores a fault code, you need that fault code read to start to figure out what is going wrong.

When I speed up to pass on freeway; 2x when I sped up from a red light, my titan revved but barley accelerated; engine not missing;trani not slipping when driving; no noises any suggestions?

Automatic I presume? While you claim the transmission is not slipping, the symptoms seem to point in that direction. The "punch" it, increases the load on the transmission. This behavior also points to drive line (transmission problems. It may be too late, but professional service may save the transmission.

I would consider changing the vehicle speed sensor. When they go bad, they can really throw out a lot of bad data to the computer, resulting in unexpected behavior like you're experiencing. They're only around $20-$25. I hope this helps! :)

Sluggish Acceleration

A high mileage vehicle usually suffers from any number of maintenance related deficiencies. I would address the Fuel filter maintenance first. It's the cheapest and easiest of the solutions. Lack of fuel pressure under higher demand due to acceleration will result in a sluggish engine. The engine would idle fine and even run fine at high speed but would be sluggish under acceleration. Other more complecated solutions would be worn Ignition coils, Worn spark plugs, Timing belt stretched or jumped timing and the most expensive would be loss of compression in the cyllinders.

1997 expedition after i go over 40 miles engine is growling shifting but a littlle sluggish

I have had similar complaints that turned out to be the Idle Air Control (IAC) solenoid. The solenoid can get a little weak and air coming in through the intake at certain speeds can cause it to start vibrating. It sets off a moaning sound that resonates through the intake ducts and can get VERY loud. Sometimes it almost sounds like a fog horn.

If this is the type of noise you are hearing, replacing the IAC will fix it.

Other than that, the only suggestion I have is to see if you can get it to make the noise while the vehicle is sitting still. Slowly accelerate the engine speed with the vehicle stopped and the transmission PARK to see if it will make the noise. If the vehicle has to be moving to make the noise, then that eliminates several possibilities like the IAC, fan clutch, pullies, etc.....things that operate the same whether the vehicle is moving or sitting still.

I would look under the hood for a relay box and see if the relay needs to be replaced for the tail lights. As far as the acceleration i would try ramping up to passing speed the vehicle could have a governor limiting the top speed.
