No, unless the front bearing on the pump wobbles a lot.

Fan clutch screws on to the water pump. You can loosen it with a big adjustable wrench (it is about 1 1/2" or 1 9/16" hex). Leave the bolts for the pulley in so you could wedge a screwdriver under a bolt head to keep the pulley from turning. Give the wrench a hard **** to loosen and it should turn off by hand. Right hand threads so you will be turning it counter clockwise to remove.

Remove belt, center pulley, fan, and three bolts holding pump on. When tightening bolts, find out torque spec first, those little bolts will not take much.

Sounds like you may have disconnected the battery. Does the rough idle only happen when the defroster or A/C is on? If so clean your throttle body with throttle body cleaner with the battery disconnected. When finished, drive it for 5 or so miles with the defroster / AC off to let the computer relearn the settings. This will solve your problem.

After replacing the fan clutch and water pump do i have to reprogram the computer on a 2003 gmc envoy?

No! there is nothing to reprogram. The sensors in the coolant system and the temp sensor for the fans dont need to have anything done to them. If you are not getting any check engine light, you are good.

How do i get to my water pump

The water pump is directly behind the fan pulley. You will need to remove the fan and fan clutch assembly (possibly the fan shroud) and pulley. Once all these are removed, the water pump is exposed on the front of the engine (this assumes you have the 6 cylinder engine)
