Question about 2007 Audi A4 Convertible
Hi, I have a problem with the RNS-E navigation system on my 2007 Audi A4. When I press the button for the display to fold down so I can put in CDs it will not fold down. It starts to open and then closes straight away. I think it is probably simple to fix but can't figure it out myself. Thanks
Faulty mechanism of folding........u cant fix it by urself.............

What's the exact RNS model you have, the RNS-510 ? Older equipment only supports SD cards, not SDHC (= SD High Capacity). And what's the exact SDHC card size & type ?
You might wanna try to format your SDHC card using FAT and/or FAT32 and try again. Also make sure the card is in read-only mode (workaround for some older firmware bugs).
And while testing, just use a couple of MP3/WMA files (so don't put tons of files on it) and remove all other files from the device to make sure it's not interfering.
If possible, try an older SD (non SDHC) card and/or contact your Audi dealer for a firmware-upgrade. Since you're having troubles with built-in functionality, this (possible) upgrade should be free of charge.
There are some rumors that some of the newer firmwares will only play DRM-enabled files, so you might wanna try that too (or ask your Audi dealer).

This normally indicates that one of the pressure hoses has either popped off, or has a leak..the hoses run from the vac pump to the doors, with several T connections in between..Start at the pump and trace from there..Check for popped hoses at the T connections, the pump, and at each door lock actuator (inside each door)..Listen for hissing sounds when the pump is running, this indicates a leak.

On Wiper systems the spindle mechanism can sieze up due to water ingress and corrosion.
This deteriates as you describe to the point it will not work, eventualy you may blow the fuse. A good thing as it protects your wiper motor.
New spindle may be reqiured although you may be able to dissmantle it and work some oil into it.
