Hi Randy, The symptoms you report seem to suggest a serious problem with the gearbox. The usual cause of slipping of an automatic gear box are worn clutch and brake bands. These are inside the gear box and to replace them means removing the gearbox and stripping it to enable the replacement of the defective parts. Sorry, regards John

The geabox fluid needs changing, if the gear changes seem jerky changing up and down, the gearbox needs to be refurbished.

If the fluid is full , it sounds like the trans pump is loosing prime. If it is there will be a code set. The code will not always turn on the light. Go have the codes checked. If it does have a loss of prime code in the trans computor and the fluid is full then you will need the trans pump replaced

It's in limp home mode. You'll have to check wire connections and electronic controls. If it has a vacuum modulator you can remove it and look for trans fluid on the vacuum hose side (meaning ruptured diaphram). Double check the parts you replaced as well, especially if they were used parts. My dad went through three speed sensors in one year on his Caravan. You should drop the pan after checking other components. It could be a bad relay, shorted module or wire. The three speed transmissions are much more reliable than the four speed overdrive transmissions but with age and miles things can go wrong and parts will wear out.

Automatic gearbox won't engage any gear

if the fluid is full then the only thing it can be is either the trans range selector switch, the trans computer or a mechanical failure in the trans, u will need the system tested for any stored trouble codes.
