Are any of the warning lights or guages in the red zone? if the battery light is on it could mean the battery and or altenator went bad, is the charging guage in the red zone?, it could be the altenator. if the battery is good and charging system is working good you might have a draw on your battery, dicconsct the negative battery terminal over night when you park , replace it the next morning, if it starts right up look at anything you have installed recently like electronics or brake assist kits dissconect one by one until you find the culprit...

2004 Nissan Altima 3.5L BATTERY LIGHT went on during 15 minute drive. Next day car "died" while idling after a 20 minute drive. BRAKE WARNING LIGHT & BATTERY LIGHT on prior to full electrical failure.

Start with checking the alternator voltage with a multimeter. With the car off check the voltage in the battery which should be holding 12v charged less if flat of course then start the car and test the battery again. If the alternator is good you should be getting a reading of 14 to 14.5 v if it's the alternator it'll A) not put any charge into the battery or B) be a very low voltage being anything under 13.5 v

Truck wont run

From your brief description I would guess your alternator failed, and when you ran down the battery the truck died. Was there a charge light lit on your dash? Cars will run a long time on just the battery, but when you turn on the lights, wipers, heater and other stuff it drains faster. A jump or a charged battery will confirm if this is true. From there it is back to the basics: fuel, spark, compression.

With more information we can go further.

Engine cut out while driving. Would turn over, no start.

If it were mine, I would check to see that there is fuel to the engine and the ignition system is working.

Truck having trouble starting.

With the engine running remove the positive battery cable, if the engine continues to run the alternator is good and the battery is probably bad. If the engine dies then the opposite is true.
