Question about 1985 Chevrolet Cavalier
When you go to take off you have to press the gas pedal hard to acclerate, now she also won'tgo over 40 mph
Well I would think start small. Look at your throttle cable and make sure you have full motion and it is tensioned correctly. If it is ok I would next replace the fuel filter, this is supposed to be done every once in a while (not sure of the mileage. Iusually do mine every 15-20K miles). If that isn't it your next likely steps would be testing fuel pressure and ensuring there is not a clog in the fuel lines. If you find low fuel pressure replace the fuel pump. Hope this helps!
