I have an electrical issue with my Nissan Presage. It is taking about 0.14 on my meter.

some nissan data links have to be switched on by turning a screw in the side of the ECM At the back in the side (RHS)
to do this access the ECM
switch engine on--do not start the engine
turn diagnostic mode selector on ECM fully clockwise
wait 2 seconds
turn diagnostic mode selector on ecm fully counter clockwise
the self diagnosis is now in read mode
I suggest that you take it to a service dealer or an accredited service shop familiar with your vehicle and have them read the codes and show you how to do it at the same time

I have a 2006 Chevy uplander, 3.5l, and when I turn the key to on position only the check engine symbol light's up on the instrument cluster and when turning key to cranking position nothing happens.

This is what would be done at the dealer or any good repair shop !
Perform the following preliminary inspections:
Ensure that the battery is fully charged. Refer to Battery Inspection/Test .

Ensure that the battery cables are clean and tight.

Inspect for any open fuses.

Refer to Power Distribution Schematics and Electrical Center Identification Views .

Inspect the easily accessible systems or the visible system components for obvious damage or conditions that could cause the symptom.

Ensure that the grounds are clean, tight, and in the correct location.

Refer to Ground Distribution Schematics and Power and Grounding Component Views .

Inspect for aftermarket devices that could affect the operation of the system. Refer to Checking Aftermarket Accessories .

Search for applicable service bulletins.

Did you find and correct the condition?
System OK
Go to Step 2

Install a scan tool.
Does the scan tool power up?
Go to Step 3
Go to Scan Tool Does Not Power Up

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. Attempt to establish communication with all of the control modules on the vehicle. Refer to Scan Tool Does Not Communicate with Class 2 Device for the modules you should expect to observe.
Does the scan tool communicate with all of the expected vehicle control modules
To ensure that retained accessory power (RAP) mode is inactive, if equipped, open the drivers door during the following step.

The engine may start during the following step. Turn OFF the engine as soon as you have observed the crank power mode.

  1. Access the Power Mode parameter on the scan tool.
  2. Rotate the ignition switch, operate the ignition mode switch, through all positions while observing the Power Mode parameter. Refer to Body Control System Description and Operation for a list of the power mode states that correspond with each switch position.
Does the Power Mode parameter reading on the scan tool match the ignition switch position for all switch positions?
Go to Step 5
Go to Power Mode Mismatch

Attempt to start the engine.
Does the engine crank?
Go to Step 6
Go to Symptoms - Engine Electrical

Turn the ignition to the START position.
Does the engine crank?
Go to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections
Go to Step 3

  1. Install a scan tool.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  3. Verify that the transmission is in Park or Neutral.
  4. With a scan tool, observe the IMS parameter in the powertrain control module (PCM)/engine control module (ECM) data list.
Does the scan tool display Park or Neutral?
Go to Step 4
Go to Range Selector Displays Incorrect Range

  1. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  2. With a scan tool, observe the Starter Relay Command parameter in the PCM/ECM data list.
  3. Turn the ignition to the START position.
Does the scan tool display Yes?
Go to Step 6
Go to Step 5
With all the modules on your vehicle you really need to start with a professional grade scan tool to see if all are communicating .

1998 Chevy Suburban - service 4wd light comes on after running 4x4 for 2 mins

Well it could be the selector switch, but I doubt it.
Generally, the service light means something is not working that the computer controls. Solenoids and valves are a couple of possibilities.
The transfer case is shifted by solenoids commanded by the body computer based on the switch position on the dash.
You should be able to have a shop scan the body computer for trouble codes and proceed from there.
A basic code reader may not access the body computer.

Set timing mode 1995 cadillac deville

Depending on the trouble codes, it may be the ECM. (computer)
You can have the car scanned for codes or attempt it yourself.
The "set timing mode" is the section of the computer program that you access to change the base timing. It should not show up on the display unless you access it.

Pathfinders up to 1999 have the ecm under the front passenger seat. You access it from behind the seat, push the seat all the way forward. The flat head screw is on the left side of the ecm.

From 1996 on they switched to the OBD II system. So you can use a scan tool to access the codes. The connector is located at lower edge of instrument panel near steering column.
NOTE: 96 - 99 ecu's have different mode states:
1. (Mode I): with engine stopped, system in bulb check state. with engine running, system in malfunction warning state.
2. (Mode II): with engine stopped, system in self diagnostic results state. with engine running, system in front O2S monitor state.

Audi A6 3.0 tdi Quattro 2005, glow plug light comes on, limp mode

16619 -Engine boost condition - Limit not reached. Check intake hoses/ connections for leaks. Check Turbo charger waste gate regulating valve/ waste gate working correctly. Must move freely when accelerating, won't achieve full boost if waste gate sticking open. Check Turbo impeller turning freely, oil feed pipe for turbo can get blocked causing impeller to seize. Engine compact, not easy to access these components.

This is down under by your feet....

The other thing it may be with the heat is the heater water control valve:

Removal & Installation CAUTION Never open, service or drain the radiator or cooling system when hot; serious burns can occur from the steam and hot coolant. Also, when draining engine coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze and could drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantities. Always drain coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or is several years old.

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2. Remove the access panel nut near the pollen filter.
  3. Remove the access panel.
  4. Remove the following components from the hot water flow control valve:
    • The vacuum hose
    • The remaining hose clamps
    • The remaining hoses
  5. Remove the hot water flow control valve.

To install:
  1. Install the hot water flow control valve.
  2. Install the following hot water flow control valve components:
    • The hoses
    • The hose clamps
    • The vacuum hose
  3. Install the access panel.
  4. Install the access panel nut until fully seated and not stripped.
  5. Fill the cooling system.
Heater water control valve

This is in your engine compartment.
