SOURCE: How to replace '96 Ford Explorer driver side exterior door handle

You will need to remove the door panel to gain access to the handle. Roll the window up or down as needed to get to the nuts that attach the handle to the door. You will also need to remove a rod the goes to the door lock. You will see the rod after the door panel is removed. Good luck.

I replaced valve body gasket on my 2001 ford explorer now it wont go in gear at all what could be the problem

Check your transmission fluid level. If you changed out the gasket more than likely you had to drain alot of fluid. Most people say 7-8 quarts but it takes more than that.

How to to change body mounts on 2002 explorer sport ,and where to buy them?

First, count how many mounts there are. Then make your way to your local Auto Parts store, or search online. You may be able to buy a complete set, but if not, you know how many you need. Usually they are all the same P/N, but some cars might have different size mounts in the front than compared to the back. Get your tools together and be prepared to pull up some carpet and seats to get access to the bolt heads, usually under a rubber grommet/cap. Its a good idea to soak the nuts/bolts down with a good penetrating oil. If you live in the rust belt, you may need to buy new hardware (nuts and bolts) as your old ones will probably be seized. Be prepared with a grinder or impact wrench in case the old bolts are hard to remove. Work one side at a time. Remove all the nuts on one side. Use a bottle jack and a piece of wood (to spread the load) and jack up the body (not the frame) near the mount. Slip out the bolt (usually from the top) and pull out the old rubber. Insert the new rubber with sleeve (if used) and repeat for each mount. Wait to install the nuts until the whole side is done. Torque will be somewhere from 40 to 75ft/lbs. Consult a manual or call the dealer to find out torques. Do the next guy a favor and use a bit of anti-seize on the bolts and threads when installing! Rubber is softer and will ride smoother. Poly bushings will last forever, but will transmit more road noise and vibrations. Have fun.

Where is 2001 Ford Explorer overdrive solenoid located?

inside the transmission, mounted on the transmission shift control valve body. There are four solenoids located on this valve body, it is difficult to explain which one does what, you can measure each one with an OHM meter, the OHM valve is hard to specify, but there should be an OHM value, it should not be shorted or open, hope this helps, let me know

I don't know why you would replace the bar itself unless it is damaged. There are bushings that the bar is mounted on that are fairly easy to replace. As well, links on the ends that tend to wear. Any auto parts store can sell you these fairly cheaply.
