Question about 2005 Cadillac STS
I can't get my Cadillac to stop skipping. I changed the plugs and the coil and the purge solenoid.

Most likely spark plugs and wires. Coils usually kill two cylinders at the same time. Use only ac delco parts. trust me, it is something you don't want again soon.

check out this tool. Brand new on the market and it quickly can diagnose a misfire from the plug or the coil pack. Here's their website

I wouldnt say it needs plugs and ALL coils I would replace just the one coil and take my chances on the rest sounds like they are trying to make extra $$$

If the check engine light is not on, I would look at the fuel pressure and vac leaks. Mechanical problems can occur without triggering the check engine light.
