Engine light on

I have had the same thing for about a year or so. i was told it was just a broken sensor and would cost me $500 plus labor to fix, and it could potentially break again. not to worry, plenty of people have the issue. tells u something about the quality of materials in our cars nowadays.

It means your O2 sensor bank 1, wich is the 1st sensor on your converter, or exhuast, this will cause your problems your describing. The part probally isnt cheap but the labor and all at 500 is robery, a couple hundred at the most. I would ask someone you know that work on cars and see what they would charge. I do it all the time for people. Saves money on the labor side. I found the sensor online for 130, there ripping you off when they say 500

I had my O-2 sensor replaced about 2 yrs. ago on my 1998 Ford Mustang GT, 4.6 liter several years ago. My check engine light came on a month ago and the Dealer told me it was the O-2 sensor. Do I have...

$500 is a bit high. The sensors are on the exhaust and basically they help your car exhale. If you continue driving on a bad one it will throw your exhaust, intake and finally engine off key...

They cost about $90 buck a piece if you dont shop around and you can ask a tech savvy neighbor to put them in for you. The website below should be of help.

Good driving.

When your service engine light comes on it means the vehicle monitoring system has detected any number of conditions that could cause problems such as low oil pressure , a bad oxygen sensor, a misfire etc. You can take it to most autopart stores who will use a code reader to

I have a problem with my fuel gauge. Do I need to replace the whole pump? I took it to the mechanic and he told me that it is going to cost me $500. Please advise.

Usually you can get a fuel level sensor seperately from the pump. I would call a parts warehouse and nissan to check. If it doesnt come seperately then you will have to buy the whole assembly. (Fuel pump, housing, and sensor included)Some shops will charge you 2-3 hours labor to fix plus whatever you agreed for diagnosis, anything over that is too much. Dropping a fuel tank usually isnt a hard task especially if they drain the tank before they take it out.

Replacement clutch for Hyundia Accent - sorry dont know the size of engine. My contact is unavailable at present but I wanted some idea of how much it would cost to fit new clutch. The car year is 1996.

A kit is usually around $200.00 us dollars for the pilot bushing, clutch, pressure plate. Assuming that the flywheel is good.
Labor can be between$300 to $500, but any garage should be able to quote you a labor time and cost.

The sensor itself cost about 130 bucks and the sensor is located on top of the motor. It shouldnt take that long to fix it has only 3 screws
