Look into the view port and see if there is any oil in the systum. then look for leaks. u might hav a broken line, after all this time. its 16 yeaRS OLE?! LOL.

SOURCE: 1997 Ford Mustang won't go out of PARK!! HELP!!

The brake light switch at your pedal is defective, or more likely, the wire at the connector broke or came loose. If you need to move it in an emergency, turn off the car, place it in neutral, and start it. Mind you that you still will not have brake lights. The switch is an easy fix.

Sounds like a weak fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.Check your fuel pressure it should be 30-45 psi with key on and engine off.

1997 Ford Mustang 3.8 liter V-6 VIN "4"

Cylinder # passenger side radiator to firewall, 1-2-3
Cylinder # passenger side radiator to firewall, 4-5-6

Coil numbering
Radiator side, passenger to driver side 5-6-4
Fire wall side, passenger to driver side 1-2-3

what do you mean start hard?
you mean slow cranking or long cranking before start?
