If it is hard to turn it could be the fluid is low. If you can't turn the steering wheel go underneath the lower rack and pinion right were the steering shaft bolts to the rack and pinion there should be a round silver cap looks like a plug if that cap is missing the pinion bearings are broken and the rack and pinion are locked up replace your rack and pinion

As long as the belt hasen't fallen off then the most likely problem is the power steering pump itself has failed.

I have a 95 Olds achieva with 3.1 L V6 and can not find the sending unit so I can test the pressure. The oil gauge jumps and slowly shows less pressure the longer the car is running.

add 0.5 liter engine oil to your car the oil engine should be the same what you have used last time before ...

sorry about my bad english ...

What is the location of the electronic flasher relay on a 95 Oldsmobile Achieva

Your Olds has 2 flasher relays. One for the turn signals and one for the hazard lights.
The turn signal flasher relay is located on the driver's side, under the dash, mounted on the steering column.
The hazard flasher relay is located driver's side, under dash, driver's side of steering column, mounted on fuse panel.

Bad CV Joint?

Did you notice any leaks from the power steering? If you did not notice any leaks, the only place for the fluid to go is in the bellow boots(the accordion boots on the rack and pinion system). Go underneath and if no leaks are obvious, take a small screwdriver and poke a small hole in one of the boots. If fluid comes out, you're looking at replacing the rack and pinion. This would also explain the excessive play you're feeling in the steering.

My 2005 Chevy Malibu warning light has come on for my power steering and the wheel is difficult to turn. What is the estimated cost to repair?

Good chance you are just low on steering fluid and a $3 can will take care of your problems. If you are not mechanically inclined find a friend or co-worker who can check the fluid for you. If the fluid is not the problem (but 95% chance it is) then there really isn't a way to estimate the cost until the cause is diagnosed.

1995 Olds Achieva S Grinding upon starting

They make that kind of noise if its low on fluid, and also depending on how cold it is they will make a lot of noise because the colder it is the thicker the oil is and the harder it is to pump. I am not there to hear the starter, If the starter is making noise it will only be audiable while your on start, i dought starter will make that noise while its running unless the drive is sticking . Have both the pump and starter chk.out.
