SOURCE: how do you remove the starter from a 1996 chevy 4WD blazer?

NO, it's kind of tight, but it's not that bad. You do need to remove the torque converter cover, and slide/rotate it as much to the driver's side of the vehicle as possible.

SOURCE: Ran out of Gas in '96 Chev Blazer

the fuel pump motor is lubricated by the gas in your tank
when you ran out it sounds like the fuel pump motor seized and is stuck there. There is a little known thing that will get the pump unstuck if it's not burnt up .
take a hammer,yep a hammer,
have someone hit the bottom of the gas tank while someone cranks the engine, don't be afraid to hit it hard you want the fuel pump to feel the hit and loosen up,make sure your tapping the tank and not the metal strap that holds the tank up! That should get you going,

SOURCE: I have a 1996 Chevy Blazer and the gas gauge is

I beleive you would have a 17 gallon gas tank, so if you get about 15-20 mpg, I'd say between 250-350 miles. I'd go with the 250 to be on the safe side.

1996 dodge dakota, used bad fuel, won't start

Pump the tank dry of the fuel using the electric fuel pump, just jump the fuel pump relay to get the pump to run and remove the supply line to the injectors and attach a hose. Use extreme caution around gasoline, no sparks, ground the container to the truck.

How to fix gas gage on s-10 blazer

Someone will need to check the circuit at the gas tank, the sending unit next to the pump grounds the gauge on the dash. You should have a voltage reference at the tank from the gauge.

My 1995 chevy blazer has set set since 2007 it has a 4.3L v6 vortech motor in it, the it has set for so long is because it had black smoke come out of the exhaust pipe?

yes, add some premium gas to the tank and some fuel injection cleaner and let it run. It should clear up. But the old gas in the tank needs to be diluted with fesh high octane gas. Adding a bottle of rubbing alcohol can help too.

My truck will only idle what to do? Do injectors plug? This truck has been sitting for at least 3 years. I drained the old gas and added new. The fuel pump has pressure.

Good chance that the fuel line/injectors/etc. have a varnish on them from the gas evaporating over time. Needs a good cleaning. Suggest something better than just pouring something in gas tank.
