With these lights on there could be a lot of different problems. the best thing to do is to take it to an autoparts store and they will scan it for free and tell u the problem.

SOURCE: mitsubishi outlander cooling fans not operating

There is a Recall to replace your cooling fan module because of this concern.

Open your hood and look at the black box bolted to your radiator fan by the battery. If it does not have a green dot on it, you have not had the replacement fan module installed.

Contact your local dealer with your VIN handy to verify the recall has not been done and to schedule an appointment.

If the recall has been done, verify if you have power coming out of the module to the fans, as the fans do burn out eventually.... but rarely both at once.

SOURCE: how do you reset change oil light on mitsubishi outlander

Turn the key off.

Press the "Info" button on the left of the dash cluster until your maintenance miles/months screen is displayed.

Press and hold the "info" button until the maintenance screen begins flashing.

Release the "info" button and then push and hold it it for one second.

Your Maintenance intervals should reset to +6 months and +7500 miles since the last interval amount.

Note that if you have not reset it for more than one interval, you may need to do it more than once. If you have not done it for many intervals, you may need to have it reset with the scantool at a dealer, as I have run into a handful of vehicles that the oil change reminder locked up after 3-4 "intervals" were skipped/not reset.

I have a 2005 mitsubishi outlander with 68000 miles and the neutral light blinks while in drive not all the time just happend today i stoped turned off the car and restarted it and it stoped now just

Whenever this warning or any other stays on in the dash it is indicating that the systems control module has detected a fault, it then disables the system as long as the light is on. You must now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and "scan" the system for the fault code that is stored for the problem(s)

Mitsubishi outlander 4x4 - 2005 light stays on when changing from 4x4 to 2 wheel drive

Try this quick fix solution.
Put vehicle in park or neutral, press the switch or turn the dial to 2H, put vehicle in reverse and reverse the vehicle aproximately 10m's or around 30ft.
Now drive vehicle forward, and this should unlock the 4wd mode.
If this doesn't work then your solenoid may need replacing.

I have a 2005 mitsubishi outlander. up until three days ago, it was running fine. i went out to start it one morning and it will not start. it cranks, but will not "fire". i checked the fuses...

06outlander3yy9.jpg

I drive a Mits Outlander 2005 4WD Auto-transmission (see image).
This morning, I put it in D-Drive but it didnt move.
R-Reverse moves but after a chug sound.

Called a mech over the phone, he says something about a "fibre" in the tranny that need to be replaced.

Thinking back, I changed the timing-belt when it snapped last Wednesday.

Then last Saturday, while filling the AC gas, another mech checked and noticed that the front shafts had damaged plastic covers that were replaced. But ATF fluid dripped from the tranny thru the removed shafts.

While topping the ATF, this fluid spilled on some wire harness and wire-sockets on the tranny next to the dip-stick opening.

This morning, when the D-Drive failed to move the car, I noticed an extra dull glow of the green light on N-Neutral on the dash-board indicator when the stick is in the D-Drive position.
No Check-Engine light came up.

Can this spilled ATF on these cable cause the tranny to fail like this?

What can I do to correct it?

Many thanks.

Tony.

For 2005 mitsubishi outlander which octane (87, 89 or 91) should be used?

lower octanes will not hurt your 2005 outlander truck at all... the engine computer adjusts to the lower octane... you may notice a slightly higher fuel consumption with the lower octane fuel but the money you save on lower octane fuel offsets the mileage.

Cargo light 2005 mitsubishi outlander

you might want to check the fuses first, if they are all good then
check the switch which is located in the back door jam area. You should be able to unscrew or get to the switch back easily once there connect the two wires together and see if it lights.
