You must rebuild it. When a berring (weather it be a cam or crank shaft) turns it cuts off all oil circulation from that point on then it heats up the bearing to the point of welding itself to the crankshaft and begins to cut grooves so deep that the crankshaft seizes. 9 times out of 10 the crankshaft will be junk. Its best to buy a remanufactered engine. Machining and building it yourself is time consuming. Hope this helps.

Daughter ran over rock and cracked oil oil light come on but wont start back does engine have oil psi shut down

the oil pressure required to start is only like 3psi on a ford which is about 5% of what it will be going down the road. Does it try to start at all or just a hard clunk when trying to start. If it just makes a loud clunk/click then your engine is probably seized and will need to be replaced.

03 escape has an oil leak, knocking sound-sound changes depending on rpm, any ideas?

Did your vehicle run out of oil? There also may be a seal that is broken within the system. It should be looked at by a mechanic as soon as possible before the engine blows. I had a chevy malibu that ran out of oil and after that the engine was never the same. After taking it to the mechanic, they found a crack in the manifold which was a result of running it with no oil. Engines get very hot when they are running and they need the lubricant so the parts don't seize up. Good luck

Change spark plugs 2002 ford escape v6

I just changed the plugs (and one COP coil) on my 2002 Escape V6. Yes, you have to remove the upper intake to get to the 3 plugs on the rear bank. It's not very difficult. The o-ring -like gasket set is about $10 from Autozone.
