It sounds like you have a problem with the vacuum system. While it is running listen for a leak. There should be a vacuum system diagram on the hood or on the fan cover.

My mercedes c300 2010 says cruise control inoperative & a lot of messages start to pop up what does this mean

Do you also have a Check Engine light? If so, have that serviced - a MIF (Malfunction Indicator Light) typically disables a lot of other things, related to the problem or not.

2005 hyundai sonata. The check engine light is on. The rmp gauge keeps going back to zero. The car is starting to hesitate.

When a 'check engine light' (MIL=Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is turned on, there is a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) set/stored in the ECM/PCM (Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module). This code identifies which engine management system component/function experienced a malfunction. Once you pull/read this code, you may begin diagnosis.

Check engine light is on and my car hesitates when accelerating. Sometimes the check engine light will blink (instead of just stay on steadily) during moments of hesitation/acceleration.

Was driving on the highway, hit the gas hard and it died. turned ove r but wont start. I checked and there is no spark

is the check engine light on ! if so it could be a bad crank sensor doing this. no spark and no fuel pulse to injectors. if both go off together then its the crank position sensor. There are three primary engine malfunction symptoms that may be indicators of CPK malfunction. If the vehicle engine is experiencing cylinder misfires, the CPK may not be providing the computer with accurate information on piston position. If the vehicle hesitates during acceleration, the CPK may not be providing cylinder position data to the computer fast enough to fire the appropriate cylinder to accelerate the vehicle in response to driver input. The most serious indication of CPK malfunction is intermittent start, and eventually no start. When the sensor fails, the computer will register a malfunction code and illuminate the check engine light on the instrument panel. good-day !

that code is for a MIL indicator malfunction-in other words, your check engine light is you have a MIL light that works when you turn you key on, before starting? If not, the bulb is blown out, and you should replace it. If it does work, I'd suggest disconnecting the negative battery cable and letting the car sit for 5 minutes, then start it up and let it idle (no gas at all) for 5 minutes, then drive it lightly for another 5-if the light stays on, you have a malfunction with either the wiring to the light or possibly the ECM.

My 98 Honda Accord Vtec 4cyl. eng is starting fine, but after start the idle dips a few times and regains for approx. 3min. If I drive without warming up the car will hesitate and the gas pedal will delay...

Seems like the coolant temperature sensor is giving the computer erroneous readings, and it is not adjusting the fuel mixture properly for cold engine operations. You should have the check engine light on, indicating this malfunction. The idle fluctuations are normal. The engine is trying to die, from the improper cold mixture, and the computer (ECM), recognizing low idle speed, is sending it back up. Another possibilty is that the butterfly on the throttle body is not closing completely, to allow richer mixture needed for cold starts.

Check engine light on....cooling fan over speeds. I replaced the fan clutch and still does the samething...a lot of air noise...specially when starting out / accelerating

Check engine light is part of the solution as the code stored may indicate the malfunctioning sensor. The fan overspeed is a computer generated safety backup for electric fan clutch engagement so the engine don't overheat when the coolant temp sensor malfunctions.

Switch off tire pressure warning light

From the manual: First find the reset button, located below the handbrake (emergency brake) lever. The button has an "exclamation mark in a tyre" symbol.

Make sure the pressures in all tyres are what you want them to be. 35psi all 'round is good for sporty driving.

Engine off. Turn ignition to the second position (ON) but don't start the engine.

Keep the re-set button pressed until the flat tyre indicator light on the dashboard COMES ON for several seconds.

Start the engine, and drive the car normally for several minutes. This will re-set the indicator to whatever pressures you have in the tyres. Hope this helps!!
