Question about Saturn SL1
The door locks on my 2001 Saturn SL1 don't work right. They randomly lock by themselves after I open or shut a door (usually the back doors), and sometimes have the continuous clicking others have complained about that drains the battery. What do I do? This has already been the cause of my son getting locked in the car, and I'm scared to death of it happening again!

If the locking seems continuous and almost glitchy I would buy new locks for both front doors. If it seems to be one timing lock and not acting glitchy then it most likely is a interference with a security alarm at that point I would disconnect the fuse for pwr locks as a quick fix.

They all do it, its part of the security system that all the doors lock after a minute or so from unlocking if you don't open the driver's door.
It prevents you from accidentally unlocking the car door while walking away and clicking the remote in your pocket, the car re-locks on its own.
If you open with the remote then open only the rear door, the other doors all lock and when you close the rear the alarm goes off.
What fun we have!

pull the fuse. the red and green one. Then cut the black line attached to the battery. open the hood then remove the red connection to the battery. Let it stay for five days.
