Check your pickup coil in the distibutor, if the wires are worn they can seperate causing the engine to stall, when the engine starts the vacuum advance moves the base plate where the p u coil is attached, when the advance starts to move the plate the wires can seperate causing it to stall out

When i give the car gas in wants to stal out and wont go

here are a few things that can do that to a car, the first and most important is the gas pump which could be breaking down, loosing psi. Secondly your plugs might need to be changed, etc plug wires. And the last thing is if your electrical wiring is damage it could cause current to break down while the veichle is driving causing it to stall .

I have a 2000 ford mustang with a 3.8l v6. Well I know it had been sitting for a while. But anyways when I go to start it, it will try forever to start if I tap the gas while turning the key it will start...

yes your plug wires are bad. this sounds like a fuel system problem (ie plugged filter, flat injector weak pump) a good tune up will take care of it all. the Ford dealer will have all the correct factory parts as well as ford trained technicians to do the job right. also in today's market place you would be surprised how competitively priced they are.

'87 dodge raider wont ilde.

My 88 raider did the same thing. As long as I had my foot on the gas pedal it would run but if I lifted off the gas it would die. It ended up being a vacuum line. I can't remember which one (possibly the AAP) but not sure. I did replace the AAP diaphragm and all of my vacuum lines.

Cannot get 1987 chevy van 20 to keep running... stalls out

Best do a fuel pressure test. Should have chg. fuel filter from the get go. The only other filter is on the end of the fuel pump in tank. Bad gas and dirty gas will plug up fuel filter, hense burn pump up.
