Either your parking brake is on (or the cable/switch are stuck) or you need a brake job.

Interior brake light on in 2004 Kia Spectra but no brake issues. Goes out after car runs for about 5 minutes.


Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir under the hood. It is likely low. If it is low it would be a good time to check the brakes. Low fluid can indicate a leek or brakes that are just about worn out.

Sticky, bad, or mis-adjusted brake light switch. It's under the dash, towards the top part of the brake pedal.

hi from uk the light/simbol you dscribe illuminated is the tyre pressures monitoring warning this is indicating that one or more of your tyres is under inflated in other words you need to check and inflate all tyres to correct pressure as indicated/recommended in handbook the light should reset after driving if not ceck h/book tyres info

Warning light in an 07' kia spectra ex, looks sort of like this


in most cases it is a Brake system warning light it is an indication of low brake fluid

No positive lead wire....


its a saftey thing its all ran togeather when u added that switch it cutt the power to everything else add a wire from the origanal line on both sides off the switch to keep the current contant
