Cigar light wont work

My cigar lighter won't work and I found the fuse box but it doesn't have the cover on it with the diagram so I don't know which fuse is which. I've checked online but I can't get a consistent answer on which fuse it is.

This is fuse number 13 in the "Central Junction Box" which is the proper name for the fuse box under the dash to the left of the steering column. This fuse is a 20A fuse and should be yellow in color.

The suggestion to utilize a test light is one of the best solutions. Another possible solution would be to call a dealership and ask service if they can tell you the correct fuse number. However, the missing fuse cover needs to be remedied. Sables are pretty easy to find in the junk yards, find one with the same series GS or LS, same year and the cover is probably the same. A test light is the best answer so far, you can usually stop by any of your auto parts stores and they will be happy to show how to use one and if you don't already own one, buy it.

Get a test light and and with the alligator clamp connected to a good ground probe the top of all the fuses on both sides with the ignition switch on. Some may not light up as you may need to have the system operating at the moment but that's ok. They should light up on both sides of the top of the fuse. If a fuse only lights up on one side that fuse is blown. Replace it. This way you learn to test your fuses and no need to guess which is which. Good luck.

I want u to check fuse #21 in the inside passenger compartment fuse box, check it with a volt meter or a 12 volt test light (avail from any parts store for about $5), both sides of the fuse should show about 12.0 volts with the key off and key on, this fuse is the cigar lighter, check this and let me know what u find, u may have a defective fuse box or a defective ignition starter switch (this is the switch the ignition keys operates, it is down on bottom of the steering cloumn) which is the source of power for the fuse box.

SOURCE: Trunk lid won't electrically open

Its possible that your problem isnt electricla, maybe mechanical (physical); check the next procedure about Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder REMOVAL & INSTALLATION to confirm and adjust...

Fig. 1: Pull the trunk lid lock cable upward from the bracket and slide it out of the lock cylinder plate

Fig. 2: Pull the lock cylinder retaining clip upward

  1. Pull the trunk lid lock cable upward from the bracket and slide it out of the lock cylinder plate.
  2. Pull the lock cylinder retaining clip upward to release the lock cylinder plate.
  3. Remove the lock cylinder plate.
  4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Add WD40 oil to lubricate all components; about the fuses, you are right, isnt showed in the manual, but could test and check position 25 and 30 in passneger fuse panel (alarm and locking system).

Keep us updated.

How can i get to fuses located under steering wheel of suzuki swift, 1.5 auto. The dashboard facia is in the way, and i can't get to the fuse box. My radio, cigar lighter are not working.

some of these are held in place with screws and others snap into place. you will have to look closely to find them. if you don`t find any screws then it probably snaps into place.

The cigar lighter isn't working how do I fix this problem

This is a fuse problem, check the fuse, it will either be marked lighter or power point, the fuse box is to the left of the steering column it has a plastic cover over it, inside the cover the fuses will be marked on a diagram. If the fuse blows again the cigar lighter is shorted, you will have to replace it, most times the lighter element is the problem and not the well it fits into.
