In the trunk, pull the carpet back, there should be four 10mm nuts holding the lens assy. Carefully pull out the entire assembly out, twist the bulb, unplug, replace, reassemble.

How to fix a horn on a 2003 cavalier.... The fuse is good, so I know it's not that. Please help!

The horn is located on in the right front fender behind the wheel well. You need to remove the plastic cover around the front part of the wheel well and pull it back enough to see the horn.Remove the wire from the horn and you can use a test light to see if you are getting power to the horn. The ecm(engine control module) is right by the horn so be careful with the wires harness. If you don`t have a test light you can use a piece of wire and hook it to the battery and put power to the horn.It should beep.If not replace the horn.If it does work then you will need to trace the wire back to the relay center under the hood.Hope this helps.Good luck.

My back up lights on my 04 Cavalier stopped working. I checked the bulbs but they were ok. And the fuse is ok. I looked down by the shifter but saw no switch in it.

The switch is on the transmission. Tt is located at the top left of the transaxle (driver's side). To locate it, you will need to remove the front left tire. With the tire removed, you can see it on the transaxle just above the boot covering the axle joint. To access it, remove the plastic panel on the inside of the wheel well. To check it, turn the car on (but do not start it) and shift into reverse. Use a voltmeter or multimeter to test for 12V on one of the leads. Also test across the leads (after turning the car back off first) for continuity. If it fails the 12V test, you will need to find the reason it is not getting power. If it fails the continuity test, you just need to replace the switch. They cost around $30.

i hope this helps

Set #1 cylinder to dead top center. install new chain or belt...put it back together and litely loosen the ditributor to adjust for timing...once timing is set hold ditributor and tighten bolt. Shut down and recheck timing with the light.

Cheverolet Cavalier 04 - Transmission Indicator Light Replacement

I would say not. I have done it many times (yeah a professional but i can tell you how) you can lift the bezel out it is pliable plastic. Just pry it up out off the console. youll see the bulb down there--youll need long legnth needlenose pliers to get it out-careful not to smash it. when you go back to gether youll have to use a screwdriver to tuck the plastic tabs(of the bezel) back ito the console. really your long reach pliers are the special tool cause other wise youd have to remove the whole center console(definitley a pro job). Hope I helped. Thanks

Need to change spark plugs and fuel filter

What motor is in the 04 Cavalier? If it’s the Eco Tech 4, you need to remove the black cover on top of the engine to access the plugs. Once you remove this cover you will see the coils and the wires for the plug are attached to this cover. Gently remove the plug wires and disconnect the electrical connector from the coils. Set this assembly aside. Using an extension and the correct size spark plug socket. Remove the plugs. With the new plugs check and verify the gap is correct prior to installing the new plugs. One the correct cap has been set, install the new plugs. It is recommend to use a piece of vacuum hose to start the threads on the plugs as to not cross thread the new plugs. One the plugs threads are started use your wrench to tighten the plugs. Do not over tighten as you can strip out the threads. Then reinstall the wires and connect up the coils, reinstall the cover and start the engine. Make sure there is no check engine light and the motor is running correctly.
