Steering becomes difficult sporadically

04 Sorento EX - steering becomes difficult sporadically. I noticed it several times in a few weeks, especially when turning.

This could be one of 3 problems .1 are you low on fluid ,2 bad power steering pump.3 bad rack and pinion .

Sometimes its hard to turn van

First I'd check your power steering fluid. However it's common for the rack and pinion to go bad as the vehicle ages, other than that it could also be you're power steering pump. You will have to have a mechanic take a look at it to be sure.

It won't hurt to drive it. Steering will just be stiffer without the power steering. Once you are moving, it will be easier to steer.
Don't know the problem, a shop will have to check it out. But it is okay to drive it.

How to fix sorento timing chain noise, i have replace the timing chain but still have not fix the problem.

Those KIA are dropping like flys on here,
the last week or so

The repair shop should have bulletins in their
data base & experience with that

Need to find those things out before you buy

Sorry - I never knew until last week
Kias had all the problems they do

I think all that is caused by going too long
with oil changes & not knowing what oil has
been installed

you need to change all four tires.The computor is noticing the slight change it tire speed from front to rear and thinks it's slipping so it is trying to put it in 4x4.You will ruin your trany other wise.
