Hyundai azera check engine lite is on and cruise is not working

Try it with the engine not running. If it works fine, the problem is RF interference. If you are using platinum spark plugs instead of the old copper resistor plugs, it can cause this.

There have been a lot of complaints lately of newer Hyundais having a "soft" clear coat. Hyundai has not recalled any of these vehicles yet, but I would strongly recommend taking it to the dealer and try to get it fixed under warranty. You have a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty specifically for the paint, unfortunately though, it is up to the dealer's discretion as to whether or not it is a "significant" problem. Never hurts to try though.

WHAT/WHICH exhaust gas component?? The Catalytic Converter (effieiency)? If so, then replace the converter.

change fuel filter. If you have someone local, have them run a fuel sytem clean out on your car. Then add a can of Seafoam to your fuel. It is all about the ethanol goop problem that are causing all the problems on these cars. it fills the system up with water, and turns to gas into a brown syrup. but every 3000 miles(after this). if you add Seafoam to your car, it will keep the lines clean, break up the goop, and your car will not have line freeze up this winter. good luck

Do not disconnect anything as long as you dont get the OBD code stored by your vehicule computer before it turns the engine light on.
Visit your autopart store they should be able to read the code using a scanner device et provide you faulty code(s).
As soon you'll get this information, let us know. We will be in a better position to help you digging the problem.
