This sounds like you may need to put some freon in the system

Why does my pt cruiser blow hot air when a/c or just turning on outside air?

It's probably that the air tubes lines are already hot due to the hot weather(car parked outside in the sun) and it takes 2-5 for the AC to be blowing air at the correct temperature.
Solution: Turn the AC on but reduce the fan speed to bare minimum for the at least 2 min. After that, crank it up and you should be able to enjoy the cool refreshing air.

Have a 1999 limited edition jeep cherokee atomatic 4.0 liter 6cyclinder. doesnot have heat. need to know how to remove an replace step by step heater core

Typically a heater won't cause a no heat condition unless it's clogged. On these Jeeps, it will usually leak either inside or outside of the truck. The whole dashboard has to come out including the steering column in order to access the air box, which also has to come out in order to change it. If you are having a no heat issue, you may want to check a few things first. Make sure thermostat is working properly and installed correctly. Verify coolant level is good and no air pockets in cooling system. Make sure the blend door motors are working and switching from cold to hot. A good way to see if you have good flow through the heater core is to feel the heater hoses at the firewall where they connect, make sure they are both hot after engine is fully warmed up. If 1 is hot and the other is cold, you know the core is clogged. If that's the case, you can try disconnecting the hoses and back flushing the heater core to get any dibris out. Otherwise, you will need a book or manual for the procedure, it's very involved and time consuming.

Why is there smoke flowing from my ventilation vents? My truck is not over heating and there is no smoke coming from the engine. I have a 97 Ford, Expedition.

You mean from the aircon vent.Your cooling unit need a good chemical wash.Ice is forming in the cooling unit, the air outside is hot thus is the cold air forming smoke from contacting the hot air.

2000 NISSAN 4X4 P/U A/C SYSTEM WILL BLOW COLD WHEN OUTSIDE AIR TEMP IS COOL, WHEN HOT OUTSIDE AIR BLOWS HOT.

your auxillary fan is not working. this fan is responsible for cooling the freon that is being circulated in your cooling system... check if there are any loose wires in front of the engine bay.

the auxillary fan is located right beside your radiator fan.

I have a Kia Sephia. When I turn on the ventilation system / fan on the coolest setting it still runs warm. (The car does not have AC.) On a hot summer day it is unbearable. What is wrong with the system?...

unfortunately your only going to get whatever cool air is outside, the vent system on a Kia and most cars with no AC is just to circulate "new" air into the vehicle, so if its hot outside, thats the air your going to get inside .

A local garage mechanic says the clutch has stopped working on ac that is why it blows hot air instead of cool says it will cost $900. to fix cause I have to buy the whole ac unit does this sound correct?...

have you tried charging the ac system? most ac compressors have a pressure switch that will not allow the relay to engage the clutch if the coolant pressure is low. $15 can of r134a and maybe a $20 Haynes manual is well worth the price difference, eh?

Driver side vent is blowing out hot air, passenger side is blows out cool air

Damper/flap for driver's side is probably stuck. Try moving the selector from cold to hot several times. Also, move the recirc/outside air control if the previous doesn't work.

Ac compressor does not turn on when car has been sitting & it's hot outside. Works fine in the morning.

either the freon charge is about 1/3 low, or the expansion valve needs to be replaced. Freon is getting into the evaporator, but not in great enough volume to cool the air unless it is coming in cool to start with. check your ac charge, and if it is full, then have it emptied, change out the expansion valve, and recharge it
