The STOP light was on and "coolant" light was flashing. I turned the engine off and back on again, and the lights had gone off. Car is running ok.

If at all times you have good battery power a common solution is the crankshart senor. A quick test is to remove the plug from the sensor or just try to move it about. The best solution is to replace the crankshaft sensor And replacing the plug at the same time. the sensor is located at the top of the gearbox & is held by two ten mil headed studs.

If this vehicle is a 2006 ,then return it to the renault dealer because encrypted software is used on this vehicle.Like most cars from 2005.Have you checked the oil and rad level?? silly question i know but you would be surprised how many idiots never do a weekly check

check or change the oil filter sometimes if you take your car to a service tech they put cheao after market filters on your engine resulting in oil pressure issues also would be a good idead to check the pressure and volume from the oil pump to make sure the regulator valve in it isnt sticking
